web services - How to store data accessible to both a web site and android application? -

I am developing an Android and web application that will serve as a service (use the same data).

My question is how should the data be allowed to access the same set of data for both web and Android applications?

Should Android Apps Connect to MySQL Server to Access / Access Data Sites?

If so, how can I gain access to someone when I am not in the service sector?

It looks like you need to provide a REST or SOAP interface for your webserver data So that the Android app could get it. In order to provide access to the service area, you will need to cache data or complete some data sync capabilities to keep working copy of data on Android device. I advise the Android device to connect directly to an external database, if this is also possible.

Do you have a fully functional web app that you are copying just as an Android app? If so, then I would recommend that only Android users see your site through a web browser. Probably provide another mobile friend version of CSS. This will give you Android, iPhone, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile support. If you do not have devices in the service area, then you need to have access to the webapp, which you can see in client-side database support. This will make your webpad accessible on Android devices which are not in the service area (not sure about Gears or HTML5 support on other mobile devices), and it will also provide that facility on notebook / netbook and other portable devices And out of the service area.
