ajax - Testing Internet connectivity problems such as hangs and timeouts with Javascript -

I have a web app that I provide to small to medium sized businesses as a service. Most support calls are related to speed issues that are caused by problems on my client network.

I want to be able to point them to a particular web page which will run an X-minute test where many HTTP requests will be made in Javascript every y seconds, which will then be used for any problems Reporting as long as the normal responses (> 5 seconds) and in the time-end theory, it is not possible to duplicate things like database hits without duplication of the use of the normal web app. Will keep in the vehicle and help in intermittent hanging.

My question is two times:

  1. Is there a simpler way to determine whether simple HTTP connectivity (beyond ping / trackcrack) Is the client's experience slow to relate to HTTP?

  2. Does anybody know about any such kind of thing?

I'm not looking for the necessary code; I'm curious whether this is a viable solution to help my clients connect with connectivity problems more quickly.

Thank you.

You can make periodic calls with xmlhttprequest and you can get some network diagnostics correctly Are there. For example, you can define how fast the files are moving to see how long it takes them to download, you can also do periodic testing and calculate the failure to determine packet loss. . However, the equipment such as factor is much better in detecting packet loss. What is "the same Genesis Policy" for Javaspeper holds a serious limitation on what you can do, C ++ or even Java (probably an applet?) Would be more accurate than writing client-side applications and testing Can provide a comprehensive verb (like is enabled in functions).
